At e-flux Screening Room in Brooklyn, I curate screenings and thematic series, commission guest programs, and organize lectures, symposia, and public conversations. The program connects contemporary artists’ cinema with histories of experimental film and video art, bringing different generations, artistic traditions, and approaches to filmmaking into relation.

My curatorial approach considers how films acquire new meanings through their relationship to other works, their conditions of presentation, and the responses of an audience. Close attention to cinematic form guides the programming, together with an interest in collective viewing as an occasion for critical exchange. Conversations with artists, filmmakers, and scholars, many of which I prepare and moderate, are integral to this work.
